Grease 9x13 pan, fill with apple slices, cover with topping. Adjust apple to fill pan to your liking, increase amount of topping to your liking. Press down gently on the topping. Bake at 350 degrees 30 minutes. Adjust baking time according to firmness of apples and doneness of topping. A McIntosh apple will mush up nicely, a Fuji will hold its shape. But if the top looks done, and the Fuji appears dry, take a fork and gently press down all over the top. The juice will flow. Pour a little apple syrup over the pan if the apples are too dry.
